Think about how cold it is at the top of a mountain. Well, today I kidnapped ladyfriend to go to this festival thing of sorts at Wachusetts Mountain Ski Area. We took the ski lift/sky ride and of course, we were nearly at the top when it decided to have "technical difficulties." so. freaking. cold. It was windy as all hell and we teeter-tottered back and forth for an extremely long time as I screaming into her, in effort to cope with freezing my ass off. (Most of you know that my hands and feet go entirely numb within seconds of being in anything less than 65 degree temperatures.) Aside from that fiasco which we look back and laugh obviously, day was lovely. Beautiful foliage and view and just was a great roadtrip and day. (I got THE BEST fleece neck/face/nose warmer. Wait til you check me out, y'all. It's a riot and SO me.) Friday night, did dinner at Legals (they do a mean vegan box.), saw "Running with Scissors" which was dreadful, but I had to see it, and party in JP. Yesterday was spent running around with friends, checking up on parents, laundry, and another party. I've been doing the job search and debating whether to continue school or work. Time will tell and SOON! Semester is over the 14th, but if I continue on, next semester starts right up on the 15th. mmmhmm.

how I love punk rock flea markets and pumpkin tabling fests and brisk autumn air minus the gusts of wind that nearly knock me on my bottom
October 18th, 200609:01 pm: momma mushiness
instant message from momma dukes: i know. sometimes i wish you were closer. i am just so thankful you don't live in CA. what would i do? I'D MISS YOU SOOOOO MUCH. so much for me having those thoughts of leaving for a few months somewhere warm and then returning, not that I would. Way too much going on here with my studies, my practice, good friends, family...especially w/my mom really sick, etc. I'm dying with the cold already so I'm screwed pretty much, but then again, humidity is the pits! I appreciate breathing and seasonal change, but as we know, Boston takes it to the extreme. However, if I get an amazing job offer in the next month, I'm taking it, might even move, so a lot would change for sure. Options and decisions. Difficult and exciting. What started out as excruciating left neck pain this morning, turned into me dislocating ribs on the right side again. ooo goodie! dr. tomorrow. slick slick slick. however, all in all, life is good! :) Lots of running around to crafty street fair fun and around stuff going on around town, checked out a new lounge last weekend, meeting up with the ladies tonight after appt, and trying to conjure up a way to avoid the Head of the Charles chaos this weekend.

I just had a client from my most recent job who scheduled appointments for her and her bf. When he walked in after her session, I asked him if I knew him and apparently I gave him a massage before at a different spa and she said "he had to see me." and he said his massage was better than hers...so they had been arguing since their past massages over who was better and of course, it was me. hehe. love it! I also love when I astonish big muscular men with my strength. :) Yay for rollerderbydames tonight! woowoo. Women beating the crap out of each other, like in the 70s.

I think I heard the funniest thing this morning. When I said to roomie he takes the longest showers, he said it's cause "he finishes his sleep in there." mind you, he sleeps like 12 hrs a day. Another time, he said to his cousin who was visiting, "I'm so tired." and his cousin said, "I've never known you to be well rested." haha. Beginning the roomie hunt again since he's moving to LA for his lady mid-Aug/Sep 1, so keep them ears peeled.

Some guy asked me if I was a doctor the other day when I got gas. I said, "No, a nurse." and he said that he sensed it. haha. Dr. Tago

You would not imagine the amount of anxiety I experienced prior to knowing that we would have to both receive and apply a complete makeup application at school. omg. It was horrible. It was even worse than having to wear a skirt. and...I have to do it again! Can we say I have some studying to do?
March 26th, 200608:52 pm: Bed buddies inquire within
Although I woke up many times last night over a short span of time, I seemed to have slept well. I guess I need to have more slumber parties. Kristen came from Worcester to play after quite the hellish journey with the T and we did dinner with Julia and then off to a friend's gathering. Fortunately, Kristen is coming to play again in 2 weeks on my bday weekend. Mmmkay kids. Sunday bday brunch on the 9th. Mark those calendars. We all know how much I love brunch so what better way to ring in a new yr?

Fri & Sat - parties were had and I spent yesterday wandering around in the sunshine, mostly in Harvard Sq on the mission to find ugly white pants (keep in mind that it is the end of January) since my new job requires a lavendar shirt (thank you, target.), a white skirt! (which I convinced them to let me wear pants, as long as they were "elegant"), and "elegant" white shoes. I searched all over Helsinki for these pants to no avail so instead I went to Crate & Barrell and bought the desk I wanted from the catalog. :) It is so pretty. Let me tell you how incredibly astonished I am that I put the desk together ALL BY MYSELF, no moral support at all. I have no attention span whatsoever as we all know. I mean I managed to put together the entertainment center together by myself, but for the livingroom chair and my old dresser, I needed moral support for sure. See, while James was useless when we lived together as far as cleaning and stuff like that, he loooooved the projects so that was his chore. I had cute volunteers offer to help, but it's all good. It's done and pretty. After this amazing feat today, I went to Best Buy to get a new keyboard since mine died I suspect from rough play, Gap for ugly white "elegant" work pants that I am still not so sure will work for the ansemble, Target cause it's just fun, and of course, those damn Girl Scouts (I mean Girl Scout cookies) followed me home. I've been having such a craving for the cookie formerly known as Samoa (now known as the ever popular Caramel Delight). mmmcookiesmmm. Lots of homework, organizing, and stuff to do, but now I must put on the Lacoste and catch up w/Linz. Ciao.
January 19th, 200607:29 pm: meh
I gave both owners of a chichi spa on Newbury massages and they loved them and offered me the job, but I really don't want to take it for many reasons, but I need $$$ for big bills and tuition and stuff so I don't know...
January 7th, 200609:28 pm: Big News
I'm so quitting my job tomorrow, not giving notice, and starting school parttime on Monday! :)

I'm beat from work and lack of sleep catching up on me, but I figured I'd update a bit. Friday was massive craziness due to the blizzard, which forced me have plans cancelled that I was looking forward to, only for weather conditions to subside though the roads were/are still awful and of course, I got antsy and went out a bit anyways. Saturday Julia and I checked out this artsy fest thing in Union Sq that was pretty cool so we could chat about our weeks and give her a break from her paper writing. Then I met up with Kathy at the punk rock flea market that too was pretty cool. I got some vegan cookies and a hoodie and I'm all about supporting the local art kids. Picked up Renee and ran ALL OVER the city pretty much. Hit up some stores, finally found some new sneaks, and then met up with Jess & LJ for dinner at some vietnamese place my client said was really good, but I was thoroughly disappointed so I'll be sticking to my Pho Pasteur, thank you very much, sir in the sweater vest. I was going to either meet the ladies downtown for bday festivities or go to a friend's show, but decided I should lay low due to 5am wake-ups 2 days in a row. However, with the sneaking suspicion that I would not be sleeping yet again this evening, I definitely should have just gone to the show cause I really wanted to. Today I wanted to check out Bizarre Bazaar (another artsy festival thing), but was pooped and hungry and finding parking would be just another project so home to feed the belly and take a nice tubby I went as I chatted with Char who called me to say that she safely arrived back home in MA from being in the North Pole for a very long time. Missed that girl. All in all, a great weekend.

Turkey Day with family and friends was really good as was the weekend. I had to work Friday, but had Sat and Sun off more or less...just 2 private clients. Saturday was Meryl's wedding in the Berkshires and because she seems to be the epitome of perfect, everything was beautiful and perfect and my Eric flew in from LA for it. What a cute bridesmaid he made! :) As everyone gathered at the ceremony, it occurred to me how fabulous I would look in a pantsuit. Would you not agree? The remainder of the weekend was spent running around and catching up with people which is always nice and necessary to do every weekend since I work such odd hours during the week. 2 work days down, 3 to go. Oh yes, and the escape plans to Miami to break up the winter have been finalized.
November 16th, 200510:47 am: Long potty story, but it's funny so read on.
Last week, there were potty problems in my house, but I learned a VERY valuable lesson. Okay, so I used to have the Scrubbing Bubbles disposable toilet scrubbers which you could flush, but this time, I bought the Scotch Brite ones. (This story I'm about to tell is a great reminder as to why I should not be allowed to anything of even mild importance after work on a Sunday night or after any late work night for that matter.) So I used the Scotch Brite ones and was like, "Wow. These ones work so much better than the Scrubbing Bubbles ones." *FLUSH* Oops. Next morning, I realized that these are not flushable to we had big potty problems and I had to head to work. I asked my bioterrorist roomie to get a snake at the hardware store on the way home and I got home and he was on the phone so I checked to see how the bathroom was looking and it appeared all was well. I then knocked on his door and was like, "Dude, you rock." and while on the phone, he sticks one fist in the air and was like, "I rock." and it was funny. So ahhhh, deep breath, all is well...or so I thought, but it started again so I phoned pricey plumbers and one came by and all we needed was a super heavy duty snake and we were good. (Bioterrorist bought a cheapy one.) Me with the smallest bladder in the world has gotta have potty capabilities at all times. 2 weeks ago I decided I didn't want to eat this entire thing of pad thai that was frozen so I would just break it in half with a fork. While the fork did not even come close to hitting my chest, the loudest noise came from my chest. I have an extremely high pain threshold as we all know. (Hey, if I went to the doctor every time I was profusely bleeding or my foot was green for weeks from a deep dog bite, I'd be up to my ears in even more hospital bills than I already am.) I sucked up the severe pain for 2 weeks even though clearly, both sides of my chest were noticeably different in shape and doctors can't do much for ribs (ie: costochondritis I had which is inflammation of the ribs for no apparent reason at all. I watching Charlene try on shoes when this wrath of God I felt shooting pains down my arms like a heart attack occurred and decided I was fine when it passed so lets go eat at Veggie Planet, but oh wait, it happened again so to the ER I went.) Finally after the 2 week grace period passed, I decided that maybe I should seek help so to chiropractor I used to work for I went. Aleve and old lady arthritis cooling patches my friend bought weren't doing it. Yeah, so I definitely misplaced some ribs which was also affecting my digestion. Go me. I'm slick, what can I say.

Random trip for wandering around Providence for a bit Saturday was good quality time spent w/Renee. Definitely made for some interesting film to be developed of our adventures. Can't wait. :)
November 11th, 200509:23 pm:
Feeling quite unattractive thesedays. (That's an understatement really.) However, I did get a modeling offer, BUT I'd have to get to NYC...or wait til they can come to Boston. hmmm hmmm hmm tonight: meeting up w/the ladies tomorrow: early coffee w/Linz, then catching up with the world as Saturdays go (Renee, Jess, and who knows. I'm down for whatever during the day really, but will be nice to spend some quality time with Renee and possibly see Jess's new place and meet her new roomie.)
November 10th, 200505:48 pm: har-dee-har-har
and she said, "you are just too beautiful to just be friends with." LAME. I loathe when women are like this.

My old crazy roomie posted 4 ads on queer email lists looking for a roomie. Surprise, surprise.
October 1st, 200507:27 am:
http://cbs4boston.com/local/local_story_273154023.htmlThis is what royally screwed my commute yesterday morning. Picture little Tago running like the wind from Govt Cte to Newbury St w/a large bag of work and gym clothes in one hand and a bag of salad and salad dressing in the other after requesting that the shuttle bus driver plop me off in rushhour traffic that wasn't moving at all. (I don't run.) I needed my inhaler at 8:45am and didn't have a chance to take it until my T ride home just after 7pm. o my my. Thank goodness I had my snack bag and coffee in hand as I managed to consume a large protein bar, teddy grahams, and peanutbutter crisps on the shuttle bus. tee hee. New Family Guy movie arrived yesterday which was watched w/Renee. Good stuff. Off to work and then maybe see Maggy, who is in town.
